Together, We Make It Matter

J.Jill Compassion Fund + Faire Collection + You

Over the past 20 years, the J.Jill Compassion Fund has donated nearly $20 million in grants and in-kind donations to organizations that support and empower women. We couldn’t have done it without you.
We’re proud to partner with Faire Collection to create our new natural elements jewelry. Each piece in this collection was made by women who, in doing so, are creating better lives for themselves and their families. And 100% of the net proceeds from this exclusive collection will help support and empower women in your local communities through the J.Jill Compassion Fund.

“The opportunity to work with Faire Collection came at a time when our community needed it the most.”

Alejandra S., Co-owner of workshop in Otavalo, Ecuador

The Artisanal Materials

Faire Collection harvests sustainable materials that are native to each country they partner with. Sourcing from these areas not only provides income to those in the local community but also ensures ecosystems there will be preserved for generations to come.

The Artistic Process

The sustainably harvested materials are handcrafted and assembled to create unique pieces for our collection. We spoke with the artisans of this collection to learn more about their process.

“Now, I am happy to be leading empowered women who are now heads of households.”

Alejandra S.

How many craftspeople does it take to carve the tagua toggle for the Natural Elements Single-Strand Necklace?

“Two to three people cut the material, two more shape it with a laser and, finally, two artisans polish the pieces.”

Who harvests the coconut shell?

“Six members from each family in the community meet to collect the materials.”

How is the Natural Elements Multistrand Necklace assembled?

“We remove defective beads, measure and cut the thread, and string the beads. Before we join each row, we measure each bead to assure it’s the correct size. Then we tie each end with a clasp.”

Is creating the Natural Elements Multistrand Bracelet a lengthy process?

“Each bracelet is made in 16 minutes.”

And what is the production time of the Natural Elements Hoop Earrings?

“It takes eight artisans eight days to create 2,025 pairs of earrings.”
