Returns, Exchanges & Price Adjustments

Thank you for being a J.Jill customer; we're happy when you're happy. If you're not completely satisfied with your J.Jill purchase, we will gladly accept eligible returns of unworn and unwashed or defective merchandise. Please note that an update to our return policy may impact the time you have to make a return.

For purchases made before March 15, 2025, we will accept returns or exchanges within 90 days of the original purchase.
For purchases made on or after March 15, 2025, we will accept returns or exchanges within 60 days of the in-store purchase date or order shipment date.

If you're unsure how this change might affect a recent purchase you've made, please call us toll-free at 1.800.343.5700, between 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. ET, Monday through Friday; 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET, Saturday and Sunday for assistance. We are always happy to help.

If returned with the original receipt, you may receive an even exchange or refund for the original purchase price to your original form of payment. If the original form of payment was a pre-paid gift card, J.Jill gift card or merchandise credit, or the merchandise being returned was received as a gift, any refund will be issued in the form of a merchandise credit. If the original form of payment cannot be presented, you will receive a merchandise credit.

If returned without a receipt and/or we are unable to locate a record of your purchase, a one-time even exchange or merchandise credit may be issued for the current selling price.

Merchandise marked as Final Sale cannot be returned or exchanged and is not eligible for price adjustments. If you send back Final Sale merchandise, it will not be accepted, and we will send it back to you.

J.Jill reserves the right to refuse any returns or exchanges that do not comply with this policy.

Returns and Exchanges

Returns and exchanges should be as easy as shopping with us—choose what's best for you.

In-Store

Items purchased in-store, online or by phone can be returned or exchanged at any J.Jill store, free of charge.

  1. Find a store location near you by calling 1.800.498.9960 or use our store locator.
  2. Gather the item(s) to be returned or exchanged, the packing slip, order confirmation email or receipt associated with the item(s) and head to your local store.
  3. At the store, tell one of our sales associates that you would like to make a return or exchange.
  4. Please allow two billing cycles for refunds to appear on your credit card statement.

By Mail

If you prefer to send your return by mail, please visit our online return portal, where you can download and print a prepaid USPS return label or generate a QR code to bring to USPS and have the label printed for you. The online return portal can be used to return eligible purchases made online or by phone or placed in-store and shipped to an address within the United States. Exchanges cannot be made by using the online return portal; please refer to the Exchanges options below.

Start your return by logging into your J.Jill account and clicking “initiate return” under your order history or by going here and entering your order details.

Refund processing begins once your package is scanned by USPS, and you can expect to see a refund on your original form of payment within 48 hours. Please note that a return processing fee of $8.95 will be deducted from your refund when using our prepaid USPS return label.

Exchanges

If you need to make an exchange, please visit one of our stores or call us toll-free at 1.800.343.5700, between 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. ET, Monday through Friday; 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET, Saturday and Sunday, and we’d be happy to place a new order for you with free standard shipping.

Please refer to the Returns In-Store or By Mail options above for sending back the merchandise you wish to exchange.

Merchandise marked as Final Sale cannot be exchanged.

Price Adjustments

Upon your request, a one-time adjustment on full-priced merchandise that has been marked down may be made within 14 days from the date of shipment for phone and online orders or within 14 days from the date of your in-store purchase.

Merchandise marked as Final Sale or full-priced merchandise purchased on markdown by using a promotion code, limited-time offer or other discount is not eligible for a price adjustment.

Stores: The original receipt must be presented to request a price adjustment. We recommend visiting the specific store where the item was purchased. If it is not possible to visit a store, please go to our Contact Us page to email us or chat with a Customer Service Representative.
