Introducing our Compassion Fund Creativitee

J.Jill x InStyle - Celebrating Our Heroes

In January, we launched our Compassion Fund Creativitee Contest in which we asked you to submit original artwork for the chance to see it come to life as an exclusive Compassion Fund style. You voted on social media and chose a colorful goddess-inspired design by Alice M. Gilbert of Rensselaer, New York.

Meet Our Winner

Alice (Sally) Gilbert lives in Rensselaer, New York with her husband, EJ. She had always wanted to pursue an education in art but was unable to until later in life. At 55 years old, she graduated with SUNY Empire State College's class of 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in visual arts. "It's never too late!"

Alice M. Gilbert

“When I think of powerful women I think of goddesses, making things happen from the clouds. The colors of the figures and their clouds represent the different strengths we possess as individuals. When they join forces, the result is something beautiful and fierce, commanding respect like a powerful storm.”
