I bought this for an upcoming cruise. I haven't worn it yet as it's too cold where we live, but the fit was great. The cold is vibrant but not garish. I feel I could dress it up or down. The fabric feels very nice

I am 5 ft 1 inches tall and 110 lb and I normally wear a jjill small petite in a dress. Because I love the color of it I wanted to make sure I had a dress that fit, I ordered a small petite and an extra small petite. The color is lovely, not a fire engine red but more on the subtle side but still eye catching. The waist on both dresses was more an Empire style, but a bit awkwardly placed between the lower bust line and my actual waist. There's a loop on each side at the Empire seam to hold the self fabric belt in place but there's no loop in the front and the belt when tied sags down awkwardly below the Empire seam, lower in the front than on the sides. I'm a very short waisted person and the waist seam was still in an awkwardly high place. The second problem was only on the small petite, not the extra small petite which is the one I kept. The bottom of the armhole for the small petite flared out, just as some of the purchasers in other reviews commented. Had I kept the small petite I would have had to take it to a tailor to have the bottom of the armhole taken in. However the armhole on the extra small petite didn't flare out and was a good fit. I may eventually have the two side loops for the belt cut off to eliminate the problem with the belt sagging in the front. All these issues aside, the dress is pretty and I know I'll be glad I have it.

I bought this dress for a summer trip to Italy - packed it right into my suitcase the minute I received it, not bothering to give it an inspection. Unfortunately, when I put it on I looked down and noticed the fabric has been completely ripped at the bottom button. Couldn't even wear it and it's not repairable so this is going straight into the trash. What a waste.

I bought this dress in a 2x. I have never had an issue with JJill sizing until this dress. I couldn’t even begin to button it across the breast. I returned it to the store. The staff member thought it had been sized wrong. I reordered it in a 4x and it fits. I was so disappointed in the sizing of this dress.
