Too long in the rise

They are too long in the rise. I've had three pairs of these jeans, and this is the first pair that I've had this issue.
I haven't washed them yet, so I'm hoping they will shrink in length a little

I have been looking for jeans that fit me for a long time. When I tried these on, they were perfect. They are not as stiff as regular jeans, actually very comfortable. I like the color because they look a little dressier than typical blue jeans. So, I know I'll wear them often.

These are wonderful and comfortable jeans! I love the pink color also, and feel it can dress up an outfit a level above regular jeans. They have just the right amount of stretch and the fabric is soft for a jean. I'm a usual size 12 in J Jill pants, and these fit as expected.

These are the boyfriend style so not as snug as the other authentic fit jeans - and I like that. They are described as ankle length but are the perfect regular length for me because I'm only 5' 2.5" tall.

I ordered the size 8 because it's the size I wear in the authentic fit straight leg jeans. The waist was too low and the tapered legs puckered across from seam to seam. I was so disappointed in them that I took them back. I ordered them because I loved the color and the material.

Confusing sizing White jeans

I was in the store a few weeks ago and tried on the size 10 mauve jeans and they fit perfectly. The store didn't have a size 10 in the white jeans which I had come in specifically to buy. They had a size 12 that were loose and the store manager suggested a 10 in white since the mauve size 10 fit me so well. She ordered for me and they came yesterday and they were so tight I barely got them on! My husband even said they were too tight so I tried on the mauve and he said those fit perfectly! What gives with the sizing?? Now I will have to make a trip to the store (45 min away) to return the 10's and hopefully they still have the 12's for me to try on. The feel is great and the bright white color is perfect for matching so many of my blouses.

I bought these about a month ago and got to wear them this week. They fit really well and are slimming in that its a skinny(ish) leg. I bought these in the Delray wash and it’s a great winter /summer color. I wear a 4. not too tight or loose.

The only jeans I have in my closet. I have entirely too many pairs of them (9) 🥰. Best fit, soft fabric and they have a slight stretch but maintain their shape. I put them in the washer/dryer and have never had a shrinkage issue. Great selection of colors each season too.

What happened to my favorite JJill jeans? I recently purchased a pair of Authentic Fit Slim-Leg - Iconic Wash. I followed the instructions on the label to wash in cold water and tumble dry on low before wearing. I wore them last evening for the first time and within 15 minutes, they started losing their shape, drooping in the thighs, knees, and waist. They were on sale but too much to pay for new jeans that can't be worn again.

I am short, so the rise is very long on me. The pants fit well in the waist but there was excess material in the thighs. They looked like jodhpurs so I had to have them altered. They were not skinny on me.

I have not bought a pair of jeans in years ~ but I loved the feel and weight of these when shopping in store. So ~ I tried them on, liked the fit, but needed "tall" (story of my life ~ long legs!) So I ordered a pair of "talls" in grey while in the store. They are perfect ...
However, when I came home I decided to order a pair in black and denim in the same size. Neither pair fit the same as the fabric is different for each color. So be aware of that.!
