I'm not fond of pastels so I'm thrilled with my new eucalyptus green. I now have black, beige, brown, red, eucalyptus and gray. I'm so happy with the years I've worn these sweaters! They last, wash well, and dry wrinkle free in the dryer. I normally wear XL but I wear a Medium Petite in this sweater. If you are very tall, the oversized look would be great on you. But for a short person, smaller is better. I would LIVE in these sweaters if I could! May 15, 2013

So, six total, in various colors and I especially like that they are comfortable, wash extremely well and have pockets for my hands! Rated 3 out of 5 by WATCH THE SIZING! I normally wear a P16, or Petite Extra Large, and I am 5' tall. Initially I purchased the kimono-sleeve sweater in a PM and returned it for a PS and could have even ordered a PXS! The long sleeved shirt that goes under it, I ordered in a PM and it was very tight in the stomach and hip area on me, so I exchanged it for a PL and all is well. If you are a slim over 5'5" tall individual with no hips and are small boned, this sweater will be really cute on you. May 13, 2013

I don't think it works as well on its own now that the style is shorter. I think it makes hips look wider now that the length hits at the mid-hip. Some reviewers also feel like it is too short in comparison to its width.

Our Pure Jill Ultrasoft Kimono Sleeve Sweater is a mid-hip length sweater. We did offer a longer version of this sweater in the past, called the Pure Jill Tunic. You likely have this similarly styled garment that is a longer length.

Yes I agree it is much less flattering for anyone who is not boyishly thin. The sizing has definitely changed and the value and the quality are nonexistent. The knit is much thinner, the arms are shorter as is the length (and I am short), and the neckline is less full and less draping too. It doesn't seem to be as soft. I am extremely displeased because I was thrilled with the oversize kimono sweater of the past and have several.

I ordered this sweater in the large at first,the sleeves were way to long and it was huge,I then returned it for an pxl and the sleeves are still so long ,you'd never see a long sleeve shirt under it,plus it's shorter waisted...I love this sweater...Is there a difference in sleeve lengths in the sizes and is it shorter waisted in the petite...I think I still need a different size for the sleeves and the length of the body....help please

The Pure Jill Ultrasoft Kimono-Sleeve Sweater in our Petite sizes does have shorter sleeves and is shorter in length than the Misses sizes. It sounds like you went from a size that felt too big for you, a Misses size Large (14/16), to an even larger size, our Petite Extra Large (18p/20p). I would suggest trying a medium. Yes the sleeves are a different length, but you don't loose the length from top to bottom.

I am 5 ft tall and I order the pxl in this sweater. I have bought several colors over the years and find that they have varied in length. The one I am wearing today (not from the current season) hits the top of my thigh and the waist seam is just above the waistband of my pants. I have never felt that the sleeves were too long on any of the kimono sweaters I own, including the eucalyptus color that I just ordered this season. Since I have short arms, that is one of the reasons I love this style so much. The one I am wearing today hits the lower part of my forearm and about 2.5 to 3 inches of the sleeve of my turtleneck shows below it. My experience has been that it fits as shown on the model.

I originally bought it in the large as well and it was huge. I exchanged it for an XS and it fits great. I am 5'4" tall and 132 lbs., but have a long torso and short legs so I very rarely buy a petite size. Even though I have a long torso, the sweater is still shorter waisted but that is what the look of a kimono type sweater should be. I wear it with a long-sleeve long tee underneath and jean jeggings or skinny jeans, and it looks adorable when the tee shows both at your wrists and at your thighs. I got a lot of compliments on the look. I think you should get an XS, or at the very least, a size small. Hope this helps!

We only see one photo of this color featured on the item page. If you are looking at the additional thumbnail photo shown below the main photo, the sweater in that photo features our Sunshine color which is a pale yellow.

Pictured above me is the Pure Jill Kimono Sleeve
Sweater in Black. However the " space dyed " Salmon
matches the accompanying KS sweater perfectly.
Tangerine as a color varies widely, so choose to
match the J.Jill products using the same color name.

There are two choices in the orange family. I purchased the darker/brighter one and it's pretty close to orange. I think the tangerine scarf will go better with the darker color.

It is not orange-softer than that! I would think that the tangerine scarf would look pretty with it. I call all these shades peach!!! I wear mine over a long-sleeve white t-shirt. No need for scarf!

I own this Kimono Pullover , in Petite Medium and Reg Medium.
The measured width ( while wearing ), is approximately 3.5 inches
per side. Needless to say, it's gargantuan. I needed a Small Petite,
in order to look less like I'm wearing my husband's sweater .

The length is shorter than pictured, and contrasts wildly from
the same design from last year or later. As I'm very short, 4'11'',
I'm not bothered by that since it at my upper hip. What it does
achieve is a ratty overly boxy fit, which stretches as the wearer
wears it. The fabric is decidedly thinner, and I read that some
ended up with incomplete seams and/or pockets. A lot of
factory production problems admixed with poor fabric decisions
seem to have impacted many of J.Jills's apparel lately.
The colors are much improved, but item quality has waned.

I hope they have a better Spring /Summer Season.

i don't know what the other sizes at the bottom are, but i agree with you that the sweater is a little large. i ordered an XL, and it is not gigantic, but almost a size too big...still looks good so i am not exchanging it. does that help at all???

I am also dissappointed to be unable to find the eucalytus in medium. I'd come to the website to order the slacks, t-shirt and kimono sweater and was sorry to see it unavailable. Visited my local store in hopes one was left, but no dice. The catalog came two weeks ago, so I'm sorry to see it out of stock so fast.
