I bought both the cardigan and the tank and they are fantastic together. I'm in love with this color. The cardigan get pilly after each wear which requires a little extra upkeep on my part. I haven't washed them yet so can't address that. I am always satisfied with jjill quality and i expect I won't be disappointed with how these wash.

I guess I didn't really study the picture because I didn't expect it to be quite so short. I need something to camouflage the tummy and this is too short. It only came to my waist and I'm 5'4". I'm also less than enthused about the extra fabric in the front. It looks like it should be tied or buttoned or something - it's just too floppy. I'm also not thrilled with the ribbing that isn't cinched. It does look like the picture, though - it just isn't flattering on me.

Very pleased with this purchase. It fits perfectly, and looks in life almost exactly as it does in the photo. It is nice and lightweight which is what I'd hoped. I needed something minimal for the coming warmer weather that would work over all my sleeveless tanks. I was hoping the white one would not be transparent, and it isn't. I'd recommend this little sweater as an easy elegant yet casual cover up.

For such a simple design it is absolutely "refined". The open front hangs so much nicer than some of the unstructured draping cardigans. The shorter length is flattering with all the longer length tops and tunics and my favorite part is the ribbed trim-lives up to its name. I wear a 10/12 and the medium is perfect.

I am unsure what another reviewer meant by refined being nice and that something about this sweater was not nice and the three different ways it could be worn??? It was confusing.
To me refined means cultured and elegant. I think the word is a good choice for this sweater. Elegant meaning high quality, graceful and stylish. This sweater is simple and refined. Good weight, good cut. I have purchased a second color. A little longer than the high-hip length of the linen/linen blend styles of the last year or two. I haven't had to wash it yet but it feels as though it will launder as well as the others I have, which I wash in the machine on its most delicate cycle, for the shortest amount of time, and then lay flat to dry. I find hand washing doesn't work really well for me. Dry cleaning is another option, but I prefer washing for the clean feel.

I love the way this sweater looks and feels on me, but I'm going to return it because it has a very noticeable flaw - a long lateral line like a pulled thread across the back. It's hard for me to request an exchange because I wonder if the rest of the production run has the same flaw. I'm very disappointed because I purchased this sweater to take on vacation.
