This skirt fits beautifully and I like the way the flared hemline flows when I walk. I don't agree with the concerns others have expressed about the nap and the fit. A great purchase.

I bought this skirt in the winterberry to wear to Christmas Eve services. Plan to wear it with a white silk blouse and a black cashmere cardigan. I usually wear a 6 and it fit perfectly. Love the sale price.

I loved the cut of this skirt, however it was not made correctly. The velvet material is cut wrong so it doesn't follow the flow of the nap. The left and right sides are opposite, so you have the nap flowing down on one side and flowing up on the other. This is a huge mistake in my book. I used to be in costuming and we always made sure to cut out the patterns to line up with the nap of the material to make sure this didn't happen. I was very disappointed because it's yummy material and a great color.

sorry but didnt like th fit and the skirt was cut improperly. the velvet was not cut with both sides having the same nap, so that it looked like different shades instead of being one shade of black.

I was expecting a deeper darker Merlot and this looks more towards lighter side than deeper. Size is perfect. Also, with 4 panels would have liked it better is the sides were matched for nap. as it is one side is shiny and one dull - so mismatched.

Patience pays off. Wanted to order it when I first saw but couldn't afford at the time. Bought this when J.Jill had one of their fabulous clearance sales. Such a bargain, so pretty and love the color. Sometimes I tend to wear a lot of black and almost ordered this in black but glad I ordered the garnet color. Sophisticated, a flattering silhouette for us full figured ladies. Will never part with this item. A welcome addition to my closet.

I ordered this skirt in two sizes. Both were odd fitting. I couldn't tell if they looked better with the zipper on the side or in the back! The seams were weird and puckered out. Disappointing.

This skirt is beautifully made, the velvet is soft and luxurious, and I love it!!
The long length is super with boots, and I will wear it as both a dressy skirt, and more casually with a pretty sweater.
Great buy, especially at the sale price!!!
