I really wanted this dress to work - it looks chic and simple in the catalog, however, it fits very tight on top and is shapeless past the bust. I love the color but can't see using it for anything more than a great bathing suit cover up. I am tall and slim and have small shoulders yet the top portion was a bit snug for me. Recommend as a cover up, do not recommend to wear as a dress.

I am a new J. Jill customer and decided to try this linen dress to use as a beach cover up. It's very pretty and the tie front style is flattering and just a good style for my age (over 60) and also for any age. The XS fits me well and I am 5'3", 115 pounds, small frame. Very pretty!

Nice and simple everyday dress, but can be jazzed up with a colorful scarf and some pretty jewelry. I ordered the extra small and I'm usually a size 6, sometime 8 so it was a little large, in my opinion. I've ordered size "small" from J.Jill before and find them to run a little large, so I ordered down a size.
This is perfect for spring, because the sleeves are long enough should the evenings still get a bit chilly. The fabric is one of my favorites, linen, and it is substantial enough and not tissue thin, so no show through.

I love this dress. I got a small petite in the purple color and it is beautiful. Fits well, not too long for me (I'm 5'1) and is great as a coverup at the beach or as a dress during the day. The linen is very comfy and the shape of the dress is relaxed. You can belt it to create a "waist" is you want to dress it up a bit. All in all I will enjoy having this dress in my wardrobe.

shoulder was big compared to chest, and frt nk was little high. I tried xs, it was fit o.k. tight, but front neck was little high & uncomfortable, so even though size s is little too big specially on shoulder area, I would like to keep size s. color is o.k. but fit is not recommended...

I bought this on sale and am wondering if I will feel confined as the neck line is so short and begs for you to tie the ties. Too covered? I am going to keep it, because I can always wear it as a cover up to the pool. I'm going on a cruise soon and will take it to see if it looks good as a dress...unsure as of yet.
Besides the neck, which I would like with a deeper plunge, the fit is perfect.

I like simple, classic clothes that are versatile. This fits the bill. The fabric is a bit sheer and stiff.
