Rated 3 out of 5 by LeRay Didn't work for me These are very nice looking but somewhat see thru, even w/white underwear and I also didn't care for the 68% cotton with 33% elasterell combination of fabric. Will be returning. I purchased the Tried & True crops for the first time that are 98% cotton with 2% lycra spandex in blue denim and really love them. I am short waisted and the "slightly below the waist rise" fits me perfectly where my waist is. I wish they had also come in white or wish these had been that fabric combination in the white. I have them in white and I love them. The weight of the denim is perfect - light enough for summer but substantial enough not to be see-through.

See through? Are you kidding? The canvas material used for for these white jeans is the kind they use to make tents!

I tried them on with white underwear but I could still see them so sorry to say they are somewhat see thru. FYI, the fabric is 68% cotton and 33% Elasterell. I bought & loved the Tried and True Crops in blue denim but they don't come in white. They are 98% cotton and 2% Lycra Spandex.

They don't seem tight to me. In fact, even though I am tall, I like the look of rolling them up twice and they don't bind around my leg at all.

Do Women's sizes "sit below the waist" also? How much?

I might wear a 16W or an 18W but I really dislike pants that are more than 1" below natural waist and strongly prefer pants that come to my natural waist. What is the rise in Women's sizes? What is the rise in Misses size 18? Thx.

Our Authentic Fit Denim Crops in Misses’ size 18 have a front rise of 11” and a back rise of 17”.
In our Woman’s size 16w they have a front rise of 11 3/8” and a back rise of 18 5/8”.
In our Woman’s size 18w the front rise is 11 3/4"and the back rise is 19”.

I have these white jeans in the regular length. The fabric is very heavy, not soft like my other JJ blue jeans.

Is there any way to soften the fabric? I would return them, but no longer have my receipt. These are so uncomfortable!

Our Authentic Fit Denim Crops in White are a bit more substantial than other colors in order to prevent show-through. Laundering is likely to soften the fabric. We would recommend following the care instructions to launder the crops. Hopefully this will make them more comfortable for you.

Can these be worn cuffed at the hem if desired?

I like the shape of these crops a lot. But, I'm 5'10" and all leg. Depending on where and how they hit my calf, sometimes crops can look like "floods" instead of crops. Also, sometimes I feel like the look of cuffed crops is more flattering on me. So, in a nutshell, can these be cuffed if desired?

Our Authentic Fit Denim Crops would look nice worn with a cuff. The only issue to consider is that the leg opening at the hem may not be loose enough to fit comfortably when rolled higher on your leg than we intended. Each numeric size has a different leg opening measurement. I can tell you that our Misses’ size 12 has a leg opening of 15 1/4”.
