Oh how I wanted this dress - my favorite color, mint green and not so very long as some maxis are and the price well, just Wow! But, alas, from the waist down the fit was perfect but the top - well, I could put half of another me in it! I am a 16p and a size 42B on top but the top of this dress needed a 42DD or larger. It just hung. I thought about taking up the straps and I even thought about having the top cut off and a waist band added and just using the skirt but instead, sent it back. So disappointed. Now I know why the price was so drastically reduced, why would a maker do that to such a beautiful dress. Really makes you wonder - oh well, will try again with another dress one of these days.

This will be one of my favorite dress come this summer! It comes to midcalf and I am 5'7" tall. Hides many mistakes from having 5 children and being on meds.

This sundress just screams take me to the warm climate!! The fit is very comfortable and the lace inset can take a day dress and make it great for the evening especially when you top it with the J. Jill linen and cotten short sweater. The sweater color Capri is a match!

I agree with juju42. I also was so excited to get this dress in the mail. But nothing seems right about it. It looks home-made. Also the color is much paler in real life than on my computer. Bland, barely blue.
The straps and underarm coverage are fine. But the elasticized waist makes the top look bulgy and makes my waist look big. I tried belting it but when you snug up the belt, the top and bottom balloon out. It balloons front and back, so as to obsucure one's derriere and chest. There's no part of the body it flatters. Loosen the belt & it doesn't sit at the dress's waist.
The problem is too much heavy material for a delicate summer dress. Way too much. Lining is a nice idea, but the material used to line this dress is heavy & bulky. It keeps the dress from flowing nicely. In fact it doesn't flow at all. The price was so great I kept rearranging the dress with my hands to see what could be done...I really WANTED to like it. Fantastic price, but I just don't feel pretty in it, so back it goes.

I like the feel of the dress and think it will look great with a belt; I don't wear many dresses so I hope this is one I pick out for a fresh clean look in the spring or summer. The arm holes are cut a little high and the neckline can gap some when I went up a size but it may just be the style so I returned XS for a S and think it works better.

Wow. I can't believe this dress has so many positive reviews. I don't think I've ever tried on a dress that fit me so badly. I was so so excited to order it, because in the photos, it looks like the perfect dress for me. I love linen, and I love the breezy hippy look, and I thought the soft pastel colors were beautiful.
First, the top fits like a balloon. I wear dresses with a gathered waists occasionally, so I know it can be done well, but it wasn't in this case. Second, from the photos, I assumed the straps were wider tank straps, but really they're very thin, which shows any bra strap. Third, the back was very low and the arm holes were huge, exposing even more bra. Fourth, the skirt bunches at the first tier of lace, which makes the wearer look very hippy (and not in the flower child kind of way). Fifth, the colors were not the subdued pastel I thought from the online photos, but very very bright. I'm so sad it was such a terrible failure - I was so looking forward to this dress. Perhaps someone with a very straight and slender figure could pull it off, but not me.

I have the celery color and it is really pretty. I love all the pintucking on the skirt and the lace, so feminine. The linen is a little thicker, so this is not a flimsy feeling dress. Lots of compliments.
