Rated 4 out of 5 by I consider these "dressy" jeans... ...because fabric is not 100% cotton and is rather light-weight and is not even really "denim" looking, although the stitching etc. make them look like jeans. Legs are great - not too tight or at all baggy. However, I consider the waist too low for my taste. It sits below the belly button and since it does not fit around my actual waist it gaps in the back when I sit. Cannot be worn without a belt or they feel like they are falling off my apparently non-existent hips. However, crotch fits fine, which on some trousers of this style tends to be too tight for comfort. I think I have a "stick figure" body because of the tendency for low(er) waist trousers to head south. I am 5'7", weight 120 and the measurements told me to buy a size 4, which I did. Pockets need to be deeper, they hold a kleenex but that's about it. Also do not want or care for fabric with stretch in it; it can make things bag out which only pop back into shape after a wash. I would recommend these for the legs, but definitely not the waist - but that's just my preference. April 17, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by highly recommended but runs large These jeans are great. The legs are slim but not tight and long enough for a tallish person. Having had bad luck in the past with jeans ordered from a catalog, I erred on the side of going up a size because I'm hard to fit, but I should have ordered a size smaller than usual. I thought that perhaps they would shrink, but they didn't. They are a little too big but will be fine in cold weather when I'm wearing layers. I ordered another in the smaller size for summer. Highly recommended. J JILL! Please don't discontinue this style. Not everyone wants to wear cropped or ankle pants. April 17, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by perfect for tunic tops Comfortable and flattering jeans for my build (5'4" - 115 #) with a legging-style fit. Great with tunic tops. Just what I was looking for. April 14, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Nice fit I loved the way these looked and felt. They come up comfortably high at waist. I am 5'9" and weigh 145. The 10 tall was perfect. How ever I went with the authentic fit because between the two thought it a tad more slenderizing. April 14, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by very comfy A little too big and long but nice to wear. I am just over five foot and slim so I find it very hard to get an ideal petite fit. April 9, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Jeans These are bar-none the most comfortable jeans ever! Plus they look great. April 9, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Snug, soft and smooth: my new favorite jeans I am full-figured and curvy. These jeans fit perfectly and snugly enough to remind me not to eat that second cookie! The little elastic in the side/back waistband tweaks the fit just right, since my waist is proportionately smaller than normal for my hips and stomach. I wish the front pockets were deeper; these shallow pockets could not hold anything without the chance of loss. I LOVE J. Jill's fabrications: this fabric is so well-constructed, soft and smooth, the jeans feel more like dress pants. The amount of spandex is perfect. Next to the skin, this fabric feels almost like silk. Rated 3 out of 5 by Recommended ONLY if you're not curvy These jeans were nice, but they were a horrible fit on my curvy body. Even though I'm a larger size in the waist than the hips on J. Jills chart, these were too big in the waist and far too tight in the hips and thighs. If you're straight up and down, then they will look good on you. If you have any curviness at all, stay away. Try Pendleton or Talbots for curvy jeans that look great and really fit. April 9, 2014
