Rated 1 out of 5 by aqualina nothing authentic about these
The last authentic fit (petite) bootcut "jeans" I ordered, some months ago, were the black ones on clearance in 8p. Those were, like these, labeled "slim leg". But they were like the old cut -- flattering, while being even a tad roomy, no muffin top but they stay up, and the perfect length. These are the opposite. I ordered the same size, and I can't imagine a less flattering jean -- they're tight in the upper thigh and crotch area, and then looser above, so that from the side view, my gut sticks out, and still they manage to give me a muffin top. I used to be able to order authentic fit and know what I was getting. They were my favorite jeans. No longer.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Undine Please bring back the regular boot cut jeans
I loved the old boot cut jeans, and ordered these thinking they must be tailored in a similar way. Sadly, I was wrong.
The legs of these jeans are tight, while the waist is loose. For a larger lady, such as myself, this is not a good look or fit.
I'm not sure why nearly all the J Jill jeans are slim fit, but I hope they will realize that not all of us look good in slim fit.

I'm a petite and these jeans fit perfectly. They do have subtle horizontal streaks that I guess are a result of the dye process.

Rated 1 out of 5 by CraftyKat Love JJill jeans, but disappointed in these
My biggest concern about this newer Authentic Fit jean is how low they ride in back. I've bought Authentic Fit in other styles and I haven't had this difficulty. I'm having to choose my tops with care, because every time I bend or crouch down to pick anything up, I feel like I'm offering everyone behind me a show: of MY behind! Yikes!
Also, the slim fit is weirdly too tight in other places... for me, at least.
All the pants in my closet are from J Jill, and while I'm not an every- month, super-shopper, I'm a loyal customer. Please bring back a cut that doesn't ride so low.

I like these jeans and can even wear them to work on casual days because they look neat and fit well.
One major caveat--I am 5'6" and I must wear flats because the length is too short for me to wear any heels. I don't mind but just want to mention it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by LynnR1 I had hopes....
For years J. Jill was the only place I shopped for pants/jeans. Everything fit like a glove, as if pants were made for me. Loved, loved, loved them. Then for years J. Jill became yet another store that didn't work for me. Last summer I found some shorts and crops that were perfect. Sigh of joy. I was in need of new jeans; my old J. Jill boot-cuts were now threadbare. Ordered three different sizes, certain that one would work; however, I will be returning all. The weight and coloring were acceptable, but the fit was neither flattering nor comfortable. I would say the leg is considerably more than "slightly" slimmer. I am 5'7" and 130 pounds.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LaneyJ Great jeans - great look
I had another pair of these great light-weight jeans and managed to get paint on them so I was elated when they were on sale. I immediately ordered them and found that the product quality and size is still excellent. I am 5'10" and 120# so finding jeans that fit is a problem - thankfully J. Jill offers a 4 Tall size which is perfect for me. They have a little stretch to them so they fit in a 'cozy' but not 'clingy' way. Great job!!! Thanks for offering small/tall sizes - there are a few of us tall skinny gals who appreciate it!
