Rated 5 out of 5 Great sliming comfortable skirt Comfortable, go with everything skirt! I will use it all the time this spring and summer May 21, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by IT DOES GO WITH EVERYTHING Lost weight due to operation and trying to replenish my closet. Have been pairing it with sweater sets, etc., and very versatile. Hasn't stretched out in rear like some cotton-stretch material can. True to size. Bought the tan and have not needed to wear a slip. Would buy in other colors. Great buy even at full price, but I got on sale...a bonus! May 18, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Pencil skirt I ordered 2 pencil skirts. They are so comfortable. I prefer skirts to pants. They look and feel more feminine than pants. I love my J Jill products MJ in Graham, WA May 17, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Stylish comfy short skirt Just bought this in pea pod, a beautiful shade of green. True to size. Love how it feels. May 16, 2013

Is this skirt lined? And some comments

I know it costs more to line them, but skirts/dresses/pants look (and feel) so much better! I hope you will consider lining some, esp. in the lighter colors.
I also wanted to comment that it usually is wise to get a size larger in a stretch material but no one ever mentions this. That would be a nice "hint" to put on your sizing page, as well as other suggestions that might reduce returns...Thanks!

This is Sara from J. Jill. Thank you for your question!

Our Perfect Pencil Skirt is not lined, but the cotton fabric offers great coverage, even in the lighter colors. We do not recommend ordering a size larger than your usual size in this skirt; it is fitting true to size.

We appreciate that you have taken the time to share your thoughts regarding adding some sizing hints to our size guide. We will be sure to that your suggestions are communicated to our team!

would not want this skirt lined. And I did need a larger size. I wear a 10 and needed a 12.

Cher: It is not lined, but I didn't feel the need to wear a slip, esp in 90 degrees. In pants I usually wear a 10, but due to a recent surgery I am in between a size 8 and 10, and I bought an 8 and have plenty of room in rear/waist and is not tight. Fabric is very forgiving and retained shape. I haven't washed it yet, so we'll see how that goes.
