Rated 4 out of 5 by Great trousers These are great trousers and fit my heavy legs really well flattering for summer May 17, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by versatile and affordable! I've been wearing J. Jill linen cropped pants in the warmer months for years now. These have a consistently high quality in the weave of the fabric and the way that they are made. I love the shale color and have also gone down a size! If you have an informal life, these are a great staple foundation for any wardrobe. May 17, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by very comfortable easy to wear with anything dressy or casual! I hope they wash well! May 17, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love these pants. I have them in every color. Love wearing them with the Kimono sweaters which I also have in every color. May 16, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great pants! I have them in two colors and wish I had more. They do stretch out after wearing so keep that in mind. May 16, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by This is my fourth pair! I first bought them in white 2-3 years ago- then I got them in stone grey on sale- so attractive and comfy! Then I got them in green and now they came out with that new blue color- well, I had to buy them didn't i?? :) May 16, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by I love this product These linen cropped pants are very easy to care for and creat for the spring and summer months as they are comfortable and cool to wear. May 16, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great weight of linen With hot summers, I want clothes with ease, not clothes that cling. These pants are great - cropped to cool your ankles, but with a good linen that has some presence. The length is more flattering than some shorter ones. I found the waist a little large (though not the hips) but that can be easily altered. Look forward to wearing both the black and sable colors I bought. May 16, 2013

I wear Med. (sz. 10-12) and these fit me perfectly just like Wearever. They will stretch some w/ wear.

I accept that linen wrinkles as its easy care beauty - wash, hang dry and wear.

It is my opinion that these run large when you get into the larger sizes. An XL would be very roomy. I also feel Wearever runs even larger. You may want to consider 1X in these.
They do get wrinkled but it depends on whether you are sitting in them all day. I always wash them first with softener and that helps but you can't help getting the thigh crunchies if you are seated most of the time like travelling or working at a desk.

i don't like tight clothes either. these pants with an elastic waist are a generous fit. because of the linen material, will wrinkle a bit. stands up to many wearings, before you'll need to wash, line dry and lightly iron.

the cropped pants have a much more natural fit than the pants (the pants run very big); Unless you are tall, the crops are much nicer fit. I don't recall much wrinkling for linen (as they are washable).

I always order a size down from my regular size because linen stretches out when worn and my first pair in my regular size slide down a bit. It wrinkles because that's what linen does, but not as badly as linen from other clothes manufacturers I've had in the past. It's a high quality linen.

XL should be fine. They're roomy enough.
And they're linen - it wrinkles. I only use an iron if I'm wearing them to work. If just hanging around, they're going to wrinkle anyway, so I just go
with it.

I wash my pants inside out in cold water and dry them on the air cycle. They still need some pressing if you don't like the "lived in" wrinkled look of linen. They still wrinkle with wear around the stomach and crotch area, but the legs at least look crisp. They also do soften with washing and wear.

I wear a PXL pant, and they are a perfect fit--they are well cut and tailored, but they stand out from the body a bit like in the picture. Very comfortable.

After the second wash, they got soft and just slightly rumpled-looking but not messy or creased. I only ever ironed them after the first wash, and I'm on my 3rd to 4th season wearing them. I have them in 4 colors--these are my go-to crops in summer. I just love them--highly recommend.

Do these pants shrink at all?

I just bought 4 pairs in medium and they are a full size too big for my 40 inch hips and 31 inch waist. Shall I size down or wait until I wash them. I'd hate to size down and then find they are too small.

This is Sara from J. Jill. Thank you for your question!

It sounds like the Easy Linen Cropped Pants you purchased in Medium (10/12) may be too big for you! The Misses size Small would fit you comfortably in the waist and measures 41 1/2" at the low hip (measured at 7” below the top of the waist of the pant). If the Medium feels too big, the Small might be a more appropriate size.

I didn't notice any shrinkage, but the cut is full, so a little probably wouldn't be noticeable. You might want to try one size smaller.
