Rated 5 out of 5 I love these pants. This product is made of a nice quality of linen. They fit nicely and I did not have to have them altered which is an extra charge. May 21, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 Yep, they're that easy This slacks are a real winner. Even my husband said they looked nice on me. I got the porcini color (underwear does not show through). My only issue is that they are a bit of a squeeze getting them over the hips as there isn't an excess of elastic at the waist, but this means that once you get them on, they lie under your tops much better. The best part is that they don't wrinkle as much as you'd expect from linen and if you hang them up when you travel, the packing wrinkles pretty much fall out. Great for cool summer evenings. I may have to get another color! May 21, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good quality, comfortable I am 5'3" and slim to average build; I usually fit well in J.Jill 6P or 4 regular, depending on the style. I found the waist to be slightly generous on the small petites but flattering and true to size overall. The fabric quality seems good and they are very comfortable. May 21, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by fits good Better than I thought they would be, especially since I had to order it in small tall. want to buy another pair. May 21, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 Very comfortable Since I live in the Delta and our summers are very hot, I love the feel of linen. These slacks are comfortable and easy to wear. The best feature to me is that there are pockets. The color is great because it goes with almost any bright Spring color. I also bought them in black so I will be wearing them often. Since I am over 6' tall, I love being able to have pants long enough! I will continue to shop JJill. May 21, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Doesn't fit I've returned this item. The fit is bad. Usually have to alter, but this would be a total redo. Your linen cropped pant should be done in long pant, The fabric should be upgraded. May 20, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very nice pant Was very worried to order pants on line. I am heavy in the rear & thighs & do not like tight or clingy pants. These fit me nicely & are actually flattering as the legs are looser. & hide alot of areas I prefer to keep covered! The linen is a very nice quality. I normally wear a size 16 & am very happy with the fit & look of these pants, which I ordered in a large & porcini color. May 18, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Wonderful linen pants Absolutely love my new J.Jill linen pants. I am a Tall and they are the perfect length. The waist is a little larger than normal; however, they still lay nicely in the front. These pants do not stretch-out quite as much as other linens I have worn. The fabric is wonderful and I couldn't be happier. Getting ready to order in more colors. :-) These are possibly the most comfortable pants I have ever worn. I have always loved J.Jill for many years; however, I found myself migrating to others. I am back at J.Jill to stay. May 16, 2013

Sizing

From the comments made on this product, it seems like the sizing is all over the board, ranging from 'true to fit' to 'runs large' and 'runs small.' I am a size 12. Should I purchase a L or a M?

This is Sara from J. Jill. Thank you for your question!

Our Easy Linen Flat-Front Pants have a relaxed fit. Our Misses size Large is designed to fit sizes 14 to 16. If you wear a 12, you should feel most comfortable in our Misses size Medium, which is designed to fit sizes 10 to 12.

I wear size 10-12 and a medium fit great for me out of the box. If you can you could always buy both and return one. The pants have an elastic waist and wide legs

I would think a large- however linen does give a lot- also remember the length- I ordered a petite because they do not give a "short" as a option. My height is about 5'4" and I wear a 12-14 and these fit great.

If by large you are a 12 then the medium should be just fine. If you are a 14 or more, then you need the large or extra large.

This is Sara from J. Jill. Thank you for your question!

The same size, Medium Petite, should work for you in both styles.

Our Wearever Slim-Leg Pants in the Medium Petite (10p/12p) have an elastic waist that stretches from 30” to 40” and a low hip measurement of 41 ½”.

Our Easy Linen Flat-Front Pants in Medium Petite have an elastic waist that stretches from 34” to
39” and has a low hip measurement of 43 1/2”. The hip is cut a bit more generously in these pants due to the fact that the woven linen does not stretch in the same way our Wearever material does.

They are linen. The weight is great. I wash in cold, shake out, match seams, put them on a hanger and let dry at room temperature. Fluff in dryer when ready to wear. They look wonderful.

The White color choice in our Easy Linen Flat-Front Pants is not too sheer and the pockets should not show through.

Yes, pockets show. But if you wear a top that comes down to your fingertips, it won't be noticeable. I wore flesh-colored undergarments that did not show

I washed mine in cold water and put them in the dryer for just a few minutes, then hung them up to finish drying. No ironing needed.

I wash them on the "handwash" cycle in cold water. Keeps the color and the size accurate. When you take them out of the dryer, hang them with the inseams together because surely you are going to iron in a crease.
