Rated 4 out of 5 by Good staple This is a good basic shirt. Needs an iron after washing The sizing is true to standard. Will work well with the cardigans from Jjill May 12, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Beautiful details, soft, lots of wear shirt I am so glad I ordered this shirt. It's such a good basic and the pin-tucks add femininity and softness. I first fell in love with the floral version and realized what a mistake I made by not ordering it in white so I did. So basic, goes with everything, it will be worn and worn and worn again with pleasure! April 10, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by White shirts are my thing and this one fits well and has interesting detail. My best friend gave it to me first (she knew i'd love it) but gave me the wrong size..I bought the correct size and am going to trade the smaller on in for another! March 30, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good Basic This has a different style from your basic white shirt. I love the detail which adds the personality to the classic look. March 22, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by its a verry crisp look its a nice professional look under a sweater or a casual soft look March 21, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by good match for painted sunflower cardigan I would have given this shirt a 5 if it did not need ironing. Other than that it is feminine, soft, not too sheer and a perfect fit and very flattering. March 21, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by beautiful details This is a lovely shirt; basic yet with superb detailing on the yoke to make it feminine and special. Good fit and wonderful fabric too! March 20, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Relaxed Comfort This shirt is so soft and comfortable; I loved it from the moment I tried it on. The pin tuck and rolled sleeves add interest to a casual shirt. March 20, 2013

Wash and Wear?

I shy away from woven shirts, as much as I love the look, because I simply don't want anything that requires ironing. Wash and wear is super important to me. So what is the experience so far? Someone mentioned something I'd never thought of. . . . .it wrinkles, but just a spritz of water takes care of it. Do you mean at the end of wearing you spritz it, put it back in the closet and it's ready for another wear? And I wonder how that would work coming out of the dryer or after line dry? I generally tumble things for just a minute or two in the dryer and then line dry. It keeps wrinkling to a minimum. Any help is appreciated! I missed the embroidered cotton gauze white shirt last year so don't want to miss another good white shirt. Am in need of at least one.

Did you zoom in for a closer look at the shirt on the model? You can tell from the picture it is not a crisp fabric. Unless you like the casual lived-in look, I would pass it by.

I don't mind ironing because I always like my clothing to look good. This shirt does require ironing (it is a soft fabric, not a crisp fabric).

If you want something crisp looking you will need to iron this shirt, but it can be worn without ironing if you had a sweater over it or a jacket.

If you get it out damp and let it air dry it is pretty good. Would need touch up if going dressy.

It is a really good and flattering cotton shirt. I have washed, dried and worn it once, and it definitely needs ironing. Will try the suggestions listed to see if spritzing after being in the dryer or after line drying would work and get back to you.

This is a follow-up answer to my first one. The first time I wore it I washed, dried and ironed it. The second time I washed it and dried it. It looked pretty good. I then spritzed it with water. There were no wrinkles, and it would be fine to wear. However if you want it to be super smooth, you would need to iron. It is not, however, a super crisp shirt.

The petite small and small fit sizes 6-8 with a little room left.

The medium fits 8-10. The shirt I bought is just slightly large, but after washing it's perfect.
