I am looking for leggings that fit higher. I have these and like them but I had to sew tucks in the waist all the way around so they don't keep sliding down so much. If they fit a little higher on the waist, the profile would be so much smoother and more comfortable. Love the weight of the fabric.

My answer to you would be "yes" only because I had to pull the waist of the garment, which is supposed to sit below the waist, up to my belly button to get the rise to fit correctly. This made the waist of the garment 7" too large for me.

No. Think modern waist. 2" below belly button on me. Different from most other jjill bottoms on me... They will not stay up because the rise it low. Have tried smaller and larger sizes but never works out. Best to try in a store.

I'm 5'4" and wear a size 4 pant. I ordered a small and they were a bit roomy -I think the capri length would be fine for you even in an XS. My daughters are both 5'8 and wear XS

We think that leggings are a great option for summer, especially when paired with a longer, flowing top or short dress. We offer both a Misses’ size Extra Large (18/20) and a Women’s size 1X (14w/16w) in our Capri Leggings. Our Capri Leggings have lots of stretch and it sounds like either size might work for you.

The Misses’ Extra Large (18/20) has an elastic waist that can stretch from 36 ½” when relaxed to 46 ½” when extended. The low hip measurement is 44 ½”. Our Woman’s 1X (14w/16w) has a waist that stretches from 33” when relaxed to 44” when extended. The low hip measures 42”.

Wonderful women come in all sizes so of course you should consider wearing leggings. Look at the JJill sizing charts to determine what size you should select. JJill clothes are very true to size.

I would absolutely recommend wearing leggings - especially with the style being to wear a dress or one of the new longer tops over them. Try the medium to large size.

When I pulled the capri legging up to fit my torso, it made the waist 7" too large. Maybe this will help your issue. The information for this product states it is low rise? This makes the "rise" much too low.

The waist is elastic. I am a tube, one size all the way down. These fit well, with no additional fabrice in the hip/thigh area. I am 5'0" and ordered the petite large. The front of the capris sit below the belly button (which I do not like) and the rest fit at normal waist (on me).

The Capri leggings are wonderful for the "imperfect body". Lets face it -how many of us really have model figures in the REAL world. Full elastic in the waist would allow the extra room you may need and the capril would fit you thinner in the hips and thighs. I think they would be perfect - go try a pair on. What have you got to loose. With the new longer tops it covers a multitude of disparities between waist and calves.
