Rated 5 out of 5 by LSue Very Comfortable but Nice Looking Pants I love Pure Jill pants and these are no exception. They are true to size (usually wear a s) and are very flattering. I was worried the tie at the waist would show through but you can easily tuck it under the pant waist or if you wear a bigger shirt it doesn't show at all. These pants are wonderful for traveling or great for those times you want to change into something comfortable after a long day at work. May 13, 2013

what is the rise of the xs petite lounge pants? Is there usually a 1/4 or 1/2 inch difference between the xs petite and the xs misses in general?

The rise measurements of the Pure Jill Lounge Pants in XSP (2p/4p) are 8 1/4” for the front rise and 14 5/8” for the back rise. This is a difference of 3/8” from the Misses size XS (2/4).

The Pure Jill Lounge Pants are offered in letter sizes and so aren’t available in a size 10; however, our Medium Petite is designed to fit a size 10p/12p. On the Medium Petite the front rise measures 9 3/4" and the back rise measures 16 1/8”.

Our Pure Jill Lounge Pants in Misses size Medium (10/12) have a thigh measurement (measured approximately 1” below where the 4 seams meet at the seat of the pants) of 27 1/4" and a leg opening measurement (around the bottom hem) of 16”.

The opening at the very bottom is eight inches. I measured across, at the bottom of the crotch, and it was 26 inches. The run just a tad large, but not large enough that I'd want a smaller size. The fabric is a smooth jersey-type knit, very nice, but I wouldn't want them to look like they're pulling.

Our Misses size Medium is designed to fit sizes 10 to 12 in both pants. The sizing is similar in both styles, but the Pure Jill Lounge Pants have a bit more of a relaxed fit than the Wearever Full Leg Pants. The leg shape is slimmer in the Pure Jill Lounge Pants as well, so although the overall fit is more relaxed you will likely want to stay with your usual size.

I bought the lounge pants in my regular size, and they fit well. The pants fit loosely through the thighs and legs, so I would think you would be fine with the Medium. The waist might be bigger than you want, but it's a drawstring so can be adjusted to fit.
