Rated 5 out of 5 by Loved how these pants fit! I am short and in between sizes. These pants were perfect and traveled well. I highly recommend them! May 17, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by overpriced I was so excited to get these wardrobe staples. The disappointment comes in the flimsy fabric . May 16, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Inconsistent I bought two pairs of the same pants, same size, different colors. One pair fit perfectly, the other pair fit as if at least one or two sizes smaller. That was VERY disappointing. May 16, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by very comfortable Wore these pants for a ballroom dancing class last night. Very comfortable, stretched nicely. Looked good. If there was a problem it was that as the evening wore on they slipped down a bit. Without a waistband and with my slim figure perhaps they weren't the best style. May 16, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good looking pants Tapered paants that have nice fit. Ease of movement. Runs a bit large. I normally would wear and 8 and 6 is slightly roomy. I would size down. Can wear dressy or casual events. May 15, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by These pants are a must have. I was hesitant at first to try these pants because a side zipper is not usually a good choice for my figure. So glad that I took a few minutes and tried them on. What a comfortable and flattering fit. They look good with flats and more dressy wedges. Looking forward to purchasing another pair. May 15, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice fit. True to size Bought one pair of these pants in a regular size which fit me in the lenght as a regular lenght, and one in a petite size(one size up) which fit me as an ankle pant. Am keeping both so that I can wear them with different height heels. Washed nicely. Did need a touch up with an iron. Am 5'2" and 135lbs. Bought a 10 reg. and 12 petite. May 15, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by fashionable and comfortable I like the look with my "hunter" and "pea coats". Two people complimented on my look the first time I wore the pants. May 13, 2013

They sit at that perfect "sweet" spot we would like in all pants. A very nice pant! I am 55 and curvy, and these pants shape me beautifully. The material is a perfect blend of flattering and shape-defining.

Almost. They are 98% Cotton and 2% Spandex. I have washed 2x and ironed each time to put in creases and maintain the shape of pants.

My waist is 37 . Do these pants fit a tall if the shrink when you wash them what size should I get and how large will they be at the hips . I would like to wear them when I go out with my wife shopping and wonder if they allow for a shirt to go in or outside as easily . Do they stretch a little .

This is Sara from J. Jill. Thank you for your question!

Our Perfect Side-Zip Ankle Pants come in Tall sizes, so those might be the best for you. Our Tall size 16T has a waist measurement of 38 1/4” and a low hip measurement of 44 1/2", which might give you enough room at the waist to tuck a shirt in to the waistband. They do have a bit of stretch in the material.

I normally wear a 14 and the 14 fit well. I came out of the store with a 16, which were large, but not too large that they were falling off or looked like I was lost in them. The length did not shrink when I washed them in cold water. I did hang them up almost dry. These pants are stretch. I think a shirt will look nice tucked in. I wear most shirts out of the pants now days.

When you first put them on they are tight. But within minutes they stretch more than a size. I can only say Asian as I love everything from JJill these pants were a disappointment ...they lose their shape right away and never looked good again after only one wash.

I am an 8 petite, and like the slim leg pants. However, I need an opening of at least 15 inches. I have runner's legs and smaller means they fit too tight around the calf.

This is Sara from J. Jill. Thank you for your question!

Our Cotton-Stretch Side-Zip Ankle-Length Pants in Petite size 8 have a leg opening measurement of approximately 14”; however, with an inseam length of 26” in Petite, these are ankle length pants designed to hit you closer to your ankle than your mid-calf.

If those still will not work on your runner’s frame, perhaps our Pure Jill Cropped Pants (D3073D) in our Petite size Small (6p/8p) would be more comfortable in the calf. The leg opening on these in SP is approximately 19”.
