I never write reviews, but had to share that these are the best boots. I agree that the color is not charcoal, it's more of a grey brown (leaning toward the brown). But you can wear many colors with them, so I find them to be the perfect boot if you're traveling and only have room for one pair. I've received many compliments too.

I was very pleased with the craftsmanship of the boot. They are a comfortable fit. I wear a size 7 and they run true to size. Every time I wear my boots out. I receive compliments...I absolutely love them!

These are really great boots -- I love the fit, they are comfortable (I have them in another color). I was so excited to see these in the catalog listed as charcoal -- I've been looking for a pair of gray boots -- these are definitely not charcoal. It is more of a taupe color. I sent them back...not what I thought they would be.

These boots are my first Frye product and will not be my last. They are so comfortable and look so great w jeans. I have a wide calf and they fit so nice. Highly recommend !!
