I agree with JJill. I ordered skimmers, and followed the advice of others to order a size bigger. I wear the same size as you--6.5 in flats like moccasins and loafers. I ordered a 7 and it was BIG and WAS LOOSE like wearing flip flops, which you don't want in wearing covered flats, you want them snug like dance shoes but comfortable. I ordered a 6.5, and it was perfect. I'm truly overweight with wide feet but I'm only 5 feet in height. In heels and certain brands, I wear a wide. In flats, I wear mediums. I am an active urban walker, in a very active and strenuous career, and a 10 to 13 mile hiker. The 6.5 was just fine, and though it will need some breaking it, they are comfortable and safe enough to take San Francisco urban walking, which includes hills and stairs. However, I wouldn't wear them in the rain, because they are exquisitely flattering to ruiin in bad weather.

Going up a size may not help depending on your foot. If your foot runs narrow you might be ok.

I say no. I thought the size 7 fit my size 7 foot like a slipper. They ran true to size for me.

I normally wear a 7.5, these were a perfect fit. My feet have never been sore . I have four pairs of these shoes. All the same.

I found these to be a little snug....hoping they will stretch a bit although they are man made material...otherwise I like them very much!
