This is one of the few Pure Jill tops that is not a good fit for me; the elastic shirring in the back hits way too high, it sits way above mid-back, instead of being at the waistline (which is interesting because I wear the petites and ordered a regular medium in this sweater). The fabric is very light and thin, so if you are looking for a layering piece this might work for you.
I think this sweater is best suited to a curvier body type, probably high- waist figure ideal. If you are straight figured as I am, this jacket may not fit. It is very nice, but had to return it due to the cut.

I love J Jill, but one problem is that some of the clothes look better on the model than they do when you get them home. I am slim, like the model wearing this draped cardigan, but instead of looking elegant, as it does on her, it looks cheap on me. Still, I've kept it for those summer days when I have to go from work to meet someone for a drink. It works fine for that.

Disappointed in the structure, material and the color of this piece. The black is a garish, flat black, the material collects fibers and lint like a magnet and the structure appears cheap. Definitely not J.Jill quality.

This cardigan is very forgiving if you have a tummy. I wear it with the collar folded over to create a shawl collar down the front which I prefer. I ordered the J Jill easy a line tank to go with it but I have worn it with a long sleeve tee and the sleeves are roomy enough . It washes beautifully on cold and low tumble dry.

I was surprised how thin the fabric is while still maintaining shape and drape. The style is flattering with the length in front and gathering to nip in at the waist in the back.

I ordered an XL because I usually wear a size 14, and like my jackets to be a bit looser.
This cardi IS big, and I don't think it is flattering to my figure at all. If I hadn't purchased it at half price, i probably would have returned it.
The fabric is cotton and does not drape well -- keeps bunching up.

I purchased both colors on sale and I'm thrilled. I love the elastic in the middle-back that creates the perfect gentle shaping around my waist. Would be nice to see this shape in heavier knits for next winter. As with most all J Jill knit tops, I'll be sure to wash on cold, gentle cycle and drying either on low heat or air drying. If you're on the fence, buy it, it's gorgeous. I'm 5'4 and the length is perfect, just at the top of my thigh (I have a long torso). I'm probably going to grab the Space Dye version of this cardigan too because the shape and fabric is just so nice.
