Rated 4 out of 5 by easy pant love the fabric (very soft) and the versatile color. works with teals and pinks and is a nice substitute for black in the spring. they feel like sweat pants but look much dressier May 16, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 This product is a "keeper"! I'm a very small senior citizen who has a hard time finding the perfect size and style that is just right for me: Petite Extra Small. After I tried on the first pair, I immediately ordered 2 more in different colors. This product is a "keeper"! May 15, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Keeps their shape Just wore these on a plane trip to Munich, Germany and they were so comfortable and never lost their shape. The knees did not bag. Great travel purchase! May 12, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by My Favorite "Around the House" Pants First, let me add to the sizing chorus: these pants run very large! I'd normally wear an XL in a yoga style pant, sometimes an L in J Jill (since J Jill knits often run large), so, after reading the reviews, I ordered 2 pairs in M. Frankly I was convinced they'd be too small -- until they came! The mediums fit me perfectly. I do wonder why J JIll has such an issue with their sizing, but I guess I'm not complaining that I get to wear a medium. ;-) Meanwhile, these pants are terrific! Very comfortable, nicely cut (no "too tight" or "too loose" spots), and they've held their shape very well over several washes. I work from home, so they are perfect for me. (And, in a first, I actually wore them out the other day -- normally I wouldn't wear pants like this except at home or the gym -- and I think they were fine.) I really appreciate owning comfortable pants that don't make me feel like a schlub. *A minor complaint: the "flagstone" color looks more like faded black than grey. May 11, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love, love, love these pants These have to be the most comfortable pants I have ever owned! They are easy care and fit beautifully. The pants are wonderful for travel as they can be dressed up or down. I have just purchased my third and fourth pair. I wish they came in more colors. April 14, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Huge but well-made I am a true size 10 and thought of buying the pant in size Medium, but decided to get a Small, based on other reviews. I am glad I did. The pant fit me well, yet still it was too roomy in the waist. I imagine it would be perfect for size 12. We all know size 12 is not exactly small (it is Medium and Large in other labels), so I would agree that the sizing is definitely off. It's an OK pant, a bit long for my height (average 5.5"). I plan to wear it to yoga. The color is deeper blue than in the picture. I really hope the elastic will stay in place. A nice buy on sale, but get not one but two whole sizes smaller, the pant is huge. April 13, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Inconsistent sizing I really love the feel and style of the Pure Jill pants. But no two pair are ever even close to the same. I ordered two pair hoping that one pair would fit. One was too short. One was too long. And both pants are too big. So many compliants about these pants being too big. Please correct this. Sadly they are going back. Plus a waste of money on the shipping. April 10, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by So comfortable I love these....they are my favorite pants and don't wrinkle. I wear them to go on errands and also to the gym. April 10, 2013

generous which works for me. I may need a shorter length in the leg because I'm only 5'2" but even at 115 lbs I still need a little room from waist to inseam. Hate it when I buy a pair of petite pants and they ride my butt or crotch. So uncomfortable.

Great question to ask and I am happy to give you my answer!!!
Although I am petite in height and I always have to hem up every pant I buy regardless of whether it is misses or petite, I like to buy these pants and most JJill pants in misses because I like when they fit me higher in the waist and that is the case with these too. I have compared the fit between a misses small & a petite small and I prefer the fit of the misses better because I like it higher on the waist and I have found that the petite is always somewhat, all around smaller. If you can wear both and you prefer lower rise, you should buy the petite sizes, but if you are like me, prefering higher rise, go with the misses!!!

This is Sara from J. Jill. Thank you for your question!

Many of our customers find that our Pure Jill Boot-Cut Pants can be worn year round. Depending on the climate where you will be spending your summer, you may be more comfortable in a pair of our Pure Jill Cropped Pants (use item number D3073D) or Pure Jill Slim Crops (use item number D3075B).

If you’d like to shop for any of these pants, enter the item number in to the “search keywords or item number” box at the top right of jjill.com.

depends on the heat - if you are talking about southern summers with humidity NOTHING helps. They are lighter weight and have cotton in the fabric and would work for air conditioned places. I would rather wear cool cotton poplin or seasucker fabrics when it gets hot and humid.
