I really like these boots. It'd been a while since I had a pair of lace-ups, so it took a few wearings to get used to the system of putting-them-on.
I found that in addition to loosening the laces, unzipping, etc., pulling up on the tongue helped enable my foot to slide-in easier. I had to buy a set of arch supports for these, as the boot has little-to-none. Otherwise fit true to size. I wear a 7, and found the length just right, with some room at the toe. The width fit is good, my foot is a little narrow and they are comfortable, not wide or sloppy.
I gave the boot four stars because of the lack of arch support. Also, it would have been nice if they had a removable inner sole to accommodate custom orthotics. I am also not a huge fan of a burnished toe, but it is hardly noticeable, and the leather is soft and became even a bit softer in just a week .
All-in-all, a winner. If they came in another color, like indigo or red, I'd buy them.

Really great boots, a little snug in the toes (I have wider feet) so order up half a size. I get complements every day I wear them! They work well with jeans or a skirt and tights!

I am so happy I took a chance on these boots. The rich color and leather quality only enhances their stylish look; any outfit looks better paired with these. I especially like the "burnished toe" feature; makes them look loved and worn-in without looking sloppy or distressed. I am usually a size 7 1/2 or 8, but I read others' reviews and ordered the 7 1/2. The fit is good (length and width work fine) but they are, as others have said, hard to get on. I have to unlace almost down to the bottom to get these over my arch. Once on, they are very comfortable; my first time wearing them I wore them all day and I almost forgot I was wearing new shoes! These are my new favorites!

originally ordered a 7 after reading prior reviews, but they were too loose. got a 6 1/2, my usual size, and they fit great. agree are hard to get on, but between the zipper and laces, can be done. the color is very neutral, they have a great heel, and no breaking in needed.. the toe is distressed, which is a nice feature.

These boots are very stylish and comfortable. They look great with jeans or casual pants. The color is great and I would recommend these boots. If you have a wide foot, however, or a high instep these boots may not be for you. I think they work best on a slimmer foot.

I could have given 5 starts, but, the boots are slightly narrow for my feet while the size is perfect and true size. I hope that they will gradually stretch. I love the way they look, modern, classy and polished.
Since this product has got on sale right after I purchsed at full price, I contacted J.Jill and they quickly made a price adjustment. It is a great gesture and thank you!

These boots are perfect for wearing with leggings and skinny jeans. The leather is high quality. They are a little difficult to get on, but comfortable to wear. The color is very adaptable to many outfits.
