Rated 3 out of 5 by Nice but too big Had to return them. Way too big. Usually take an xl but could easily go to a large. Nice material and colour. May 21, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Cheap fabric! I may have misjudged my size and I ordered a large because my hips are wide but these were huge! And the fabric felt cheap! I have worn a variety of J Jill clothing all of which I love but these were not up to snuff in my opinion. The fabric felt flimsy and low budget. If I had paid full retail I would have have been grossly disappointed--I expected a heavier knit I gve the pair away. I believe that these are not J Jill's finest product. May 15, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Stylish legging As the other reviewers have mentioned, these pants are full in the pant area. But the styling in the legs makes up for this. The seaming gives interest and makes the shaping more flattering. Material is also thicker high which hides a multitude of bumps. Great legging May 12, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Comfy leggings I ordered these in a L (I'm a size 12) but they do run a bit big. They are a little heavier weight as other reviewers have stated so nice and comfy to wear. Because these don't fit me all that well I don' t know that I'd order more - but I wear them alot! April 10, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love them These leggings are just a little different with the equestrian patch. They fit and look great. So far, they've washed well, too. April 9, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Sporty These are a great color to wear alone or with a skirt or dress. Would not mind these in an array of colors. The fit is as expected. April 9, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Great legging I wish these leggings came in every color for the winter. Love the fit (perfect) and the quality is Pure J Jill! March 21, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Like Riding Pants! Great color and I feel very posh wearing them! None of the other moms at the PTA look like they've just come from the stables (really I've just come from the Y, but I talk of horses anyway so if I smell they'll think that's why). March 20, 2013

This is Sara from J. Jill. Thank you for your question!

Our Knit Twill Equestrian Leggings are made from a comfortably stretchy rayon blend and are cut a bit generously. It sounds like our Misses’ sizes Small (6/8) or Extra Small (2/4) would be best for you.

Our Misses’ size Small has an elastic waist that stretches from 29” when relaxed to 34” when the waist is fully extended. The low hip measures 37”.

Our Misses’ size Extra Small has an elastic waist that stretches from 27” when relaxed to 32” when the waist is fully extended. The low hip measures 35”.

I am not an expert in sizing but I would say a Medium would be right for you! I have the large but I am 5'4" and my hips are 44. They do tighten up with laundering. With this style and type of knit I would not want SKIN TIGHT as the regular spandex leggings. These are awesome though - I have both colors.

Maybe it's my computer screen, but when I zoom in to get a better idea of how much green is in the olive, they look more of a taupe to me (and I actually prefer less of a green :#

I ordered the other color #bark) and although I haven't received them, I know I am going to want a second pair. I'm a sucker for anything equestrian.

Can anyone help? Thanks!

Depends on what you consider true olive, but yes, it has more of a moss green look than brownish...

No. They are sort of a mud browny green. I just hated the color and had to send them back.
