Rated 1 out of 5 by Slikchic VERY CUTE & STYLISH BUT TOO SNUG
THESE WOULD HAVE MADE PERFECT WORK PANTS HOWEVER IF YOU ARE HIPPY, FLUCTUATE IN WEIGHT & NEED YOUR COMFORT THEN DO NOT PURCHASE. I AM 135-140lbs ABOUT 5ft. PANTS WERE WAY TOO SNUG. NOT COMFORTABLE AT ALL. I ORDERED A 6P WHICH WOULD BE MY NORMAL SIZE, DID NOT FIT.

Maybe not meant for my body type (petite, hourglass shape, 10 lbs. overweight, sigh). These fit fine in the hip, but the thigh was too small. Not a good look on me. But nice pants, I wish they fit properly! Good for a tailored, professional look.

These pants have a little something special, a bit if retro style. I ordered a 6P. I am 5'4, 123lbs. They fit a bit smaller than others, but are perfect for me. Love the belt loops! They are very tight around the ankle and so cannot be worn over boots. They look spectacular with the heeled Oxford wedges. They would also work very good tucked into boots.

I have found that the term "ankle pant" means just about perfect for a petite, 28 inch inseam like myself.
The reviewer with a problem with the length of her pants may not have noticed the term "ankle pant" and the stated inseam measurements in the description before she ordered. If one orders the Misses size 8, the length that is called "ankle pant" length is actually 28" or 29", truly ankle length for a misses size/length lady, but a perfect petite length (not ankle, but regular) for me.
The material is a lighter weight winter tweed with a nice feel to the inside - pants are partially lined. Good pants for our milder weather in North Carolina. The brown tweed is very nice looking and is lovely with a cream colored silk blouse, low heels or nice boots and a blazer that coordinates with the tweed.

Nice thin tweed pants that dont itch. They do run slightly big, but I think most JJill clothes do.

I have these in both black and brown tweed and purchased both originally last winter on sale for not quite the great price they're now on sale. Both pants have held up well and come out of the washer and dryer ready to wear. No problems with shrinking, wrinkling or fading, and they somehow manage to make my upper thighs appear in better shape than they actually are which seems to defy the laws of physics. Any pant that can do that is worth its price on sale or not. Length-wise, these fit like regular length pants on me, but I'm under 5 feet tall, so to not have to hem these made them a true value priced item for my closet, but the fit and quality of these pants make them a true value at any price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Cati Awesome pants at an awesome price!
I love this pair of pants. Great fabric and style. I ordered a 4P and the fit was a bit snug. 4P is my usual fit so I ordered a size up: 6P. I think the style makes it run a bit small. A terrific bargain at the sale price!

Lovely pants, but arrived very wrinkled. Washed and dried them but will still need to iron to get shipping creases out. I have started wearing petite in JJill pants brcause of the 30" inseam. They are exactly the right length with flats, which is all I wear. Tweed is subtle.
