Rated 5 out of 5 My favorite I have 5 different colors in this jacket, and wore a different 1 everyday to work, all winter. You can change the look with different scarves. They are so comfortable & look great with jeans. I am ready to retire them for the Spring. May 15, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Wonderful and versatile I loved this jacket even more than expected. I got it in white and think that color works all year round especially because it is corduroy. The fit is perfect and the weight is perfect for Texas. Can be dressed up or down as desired. May 15, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Style and LIghtweight The size ran big or I ordered 2 sizes too big. I would love the coat if I knew it ran big but they ran out of my size. Guess everyone else loved them too. May 14, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fabulous as a heavy shirt of lightweight jacket! I bought this at the end of the season for a fabulous price. My daughter gave me a LLBean corduroy shirt very much like this and I wanted it in a different color but it was twice as much as this jacket/shirt. I was surprised when I got this because of the quality and fit! I am VERY happy with this purchase! May 11, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by I'm pleased with the quality and style of J.Jill products. My daughter introduced me to J.Jill some time ago. I love the items I've ordered since. This jacket came in a spectacular "deep sea" blue...MY color! I ordered a tall, and it fits perfectly. I bought another corduroy jacket from J.Jill several years ago and am still wearing it! I've had compliments nearly every time I wear it. J.Jill's quality and style are tops! April 15, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Loose and comfy Love the corduroy. It's a bit looser than I expected, truly "A-line," almost like a maternity jacket except that the fullness is mostly in back. It's a good spring jacket. April 10, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by NanJo Love the yellow! True to size. Looks great. Perfect for cool evenings! April 9, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by pretty color! I have an earlier (2010) version of the tumbled cord jacket, with velvet cuffs & collar, in fig. The style has changed--this one is shorter, more casual--no velvet--more of a swing jacket than a blazer-type--but I like it anyway, and especially this color. I always like pockets. It's a great weight for spring. I'll enjoy wearing it. April 9, 2013

You might want to go for the 3X as this jacket is generously cut. It is roomy and comfy. I bought one for my daughter who is between a 1X and 2x and the 1x fit her well, and looked great!

This is Sara from J. Jill. Thank you for your question!

Our Heritage Tumbled Cord Jacket is designed to have a relaxed fit. The chest measurement for the 3X (22w/24w) is 55” and in the 4X (26w/28w) the chest measurement is 59”. The jacket has an a-line shape so it is generous in the hip area.

I would go with the 3X, because this jacket gathers in the back and it is a
loose fit jacket.

I would order the smaller size because the cut of the jacket gives you plenty of room.

based on how this jacket is shaped (loose but w/ shaping), i would recommend the 4x. being "between" the 3 and 4, the 4X would allow for easy movement, while still wearing a lighter piece underneath [although you could wear it alone, its style and mid-season weight would suggest "outer piece," and require something lighter underneath]. i am 5'3" and the misses length came to mid-thigh [but was not "short dress]. hope this helps you to decide!

I also am between those sizes. Because I like room in my jackets, I ordered 4X.

This is Sara from J. Jill. Thank you for your question!

The sleeve length for our Heritage Tumbled Cord Jacket is measured from the center of the back neckline. The sleeve of a Large Tall (14t/16t) size measures 34 5/8”.

I ordered this in plus size and the arms are about 2 inches too long. This is easily overcome by folding them back though. If you are tall, they are probably even longer than on the plus size version as cuts for tall women usually have longer arms. These do run about 1 size large. I like oversized clothes, so I'm just fine with that.. you may not be. But any seamstress can shorten the arms for you.

I don't know the exact length measurement but I have long arms and found the length perfect. I didn't order tall - I'm a 3X/4X and I think I got a 4X.

I didn't actually measure, but I am 5'10 (was 5'11 3/4" before age started shrinking...) Have a problem with sleeve length in standard size clothing.
These sleeves are long enough I could actually cuff them! Overall sizing is generous, if you are true size L you might consider sizing down on this one!

This is Sara from J. Jill. Thank you for your question!

Our Heritage Tumbled Cord Jacket can be tumbled dry on the low setting. You can use a warm iron if desired on the reverse of the fabric, although due to the super soft cotton corduroy fabric, ironing may not be needed.

I would never machine dry this although the fabric would probably hold up. The shape of the jacket would not. However, you can wash it, hang it on a sturdy hanger and allow it to air dry and it will come out nice - ironing always optional.

These crops can be machine dried; however, I left them in the dryer until they were still a little damp & then hung them on a clothes rack to finish drying. I iron everything but think that you could get away with not ironing them.
