Basic black always works. It fit perfectly. Can't wait to wear this dress.
Know I'll have it for years to come and may even consider getting it in another color next year.

Though I'm 5'3", misses S was the perfect length--not so long it catches on heels--not so short it catches in the top of my boots--perfect. Cowl lays very nicely without fuss. I wish I hadn't hesitated on the red. It's a beautiful, cool red--not orange at all. Would have bought the black, if I tried the red before the black sold out, and I have plenty of black, so, I wouldn't have bought that first, but, it fits so well. You can wear it with a belt or not. Would love to see this in more dark colors (dk olive, dk teal, eggplant, chocolate, navy).

I only wish JJill would make MORE of this type of dress (sleeves --elbow, 3/4's, or long; neckline -- soft and attractive; and skirt length --long). This is extremely attractive dress and let's face it: how many women REALLY look good in short skirts or want to shave their legs often enough to be acceptable in short styles? To summarize: this is an extremely FLATTERING style and would be for most women. My only complaint is that I had to have alternations to take in the sides; the dress was too roomy through the middle. Fortunately, the sleeves were just right and not too tight. I am very slender through the middle but have long arms, broad shoulders, and semi-muscular arms.

I was frustrated because I live in Minnesota and I found the dress at a store in Kansas. So I had to pay the shipping fee, it was no longer online. I received it and it is too big. I need the small and don't want to pay the shipping fee to get the other size, so I will just take it back.
I wear a Medium in all other styles things.

I ordered the red dress and then had second thoughts but it is a beautiful red.....more crimson. And of course the fit is just as expected when I order my size. The fabric has a good "feel" to it. I know this fabric will not "pill".

Very classic " Go To" dress. Looking forward to wearing them in Spring and fall.Material too light for early winter onwards.Initally ordered in black and red,but ended up exchanging red for brown as one became available.
I love the longer sleeve lengths ( elbow,3/4 and wrist ) as I then don't have to add that extra layer during the warmer weather.
I hope this style is repeated with the same weight material,minus the neck line ((maybe --- scooped, round, square ,take your pick.) and of course the longer sleeve --- 3/4 ,elbow, or wrist.
