Rated 5 out of 5 by Love it I love this little skirt. It was a wrinkled mess when it came out of the package, but it steam irons beautifully. I'm pleased with my purchase. May 15, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love this skirt This is a great skirt and a beautiful color. I am only sorry that I could not find a top to go with it. They were sold out. April 23, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by This skirt is feminine and pretty. I liked this skirt when I saw it in the mall--beautiful colors and a summery, breezy appeal. Fit is true to size and cool and comfortable for a warm evening. When I had a chance to buy online at the sale price, I added the sweater and shell to complete an outfit I know will be a summer favorite. The fabric is soft but has enough weight to give it body and movement. April 11, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Lovely skirt I have had my eye on this skirt for a long time. When it went on sale I quickly purchased it. Sadly, I am going to return it because it runs very large. April 11, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by So comfortable! I have another fabulous skirt from J Jill (I already own two slightly different style J Jill linen skirts that I wear instead of shorts in the summer) ... this skirt is light weight as well as lined ... it is very windy where I live and the skirt stays down - no embarrassing fly ups ... I bought it as a possibility to wear to a wedding but it is just a tad to informal for this specific event but it turns out it is perfect to wear to the outdoor summer rehearsal lawn party the afternoon before ... I am afraid of color but J Jill is slowly turning my black, white & gray wardrobe around to a fairly colorful blend that I can mix & match ... another great J Jill addition! April 9, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not for smaller figures My first impression upon trying this on and looking in the mirror was ......"bag lady". Definitely not the look I was going for. I am 5'4" and a size 2 swallowed me up. Pretty linen fabric though. March 23, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very nice material; great fit This skirt is just the right length and fit for me. I like the fullness of the skirt for modesty. Very pretty and I look forward to wearing it when the weather warms up. March 8, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Pretty print, great fit This skirt is just the kind of colorful print I love to pair with solid shirts and tees. It drapes beautifully. Well worth the regular price - sale price even better. Go get one! March 7, 2013

This is Sara from J. Jill. Thank you for your question!

We do extensive testing on our garments to ensure that we are recommending the best way for you to care for your items. The linen fabric used for our Inked Floral Linen Skirt is designed to have a lightly crinkled texture. We do not recommend ironing this skirt, as that would remove the crinkle.

Ironing will cause it to "stick out" rather than drape.

I believe the material is not supposed to be perfectly smooth.

Ironing would eliminate the textured effect that gives the fabric fullness and definition.

I ironed my skirt with no problems ... I ironed the lining separately first then the skirt (inside out as my Auntie May taught me in the last century) and the skirt is just fine ... I can't imagine not ironing this skirt - I wouldn't have bought it otherwise ... I used linen steam setting and was fairly gentle while pressing it ... I didn't see any Do Not Iron warning anywhere ... just my experience - hope this is helpful

I think in this case it would spol the softness look of the skirt. Plus with linen it does not do much good anyway.

Steam iron it. Ironing directly on some linens hardens the linen and then it creases as well as wrinkles. Linen is linen - it wrinkles - steaming is best for this linen skirt.
