Rated 5 out of 5 Wear nothing else all summer
I buy this shirt every year in every solid color that suits me (and prints when they go on sale), and wear one (open over a perfect tank) every warm day I leave the house, with all kind of pants. Bought two of the yarn-dyed version (plus the matching tanks) this year and while the fit and quality are exactly as expected, I find the yarn-dyed fabric (in which the color diluted by white) looks a little more casual than the solid linen shades, and not really a good choice with beige or black linen pants. But with jeans or while pants, super.

I love a good linen shirt so I bought 2. You can always keep cool in the hot summer of the south with linen. A nice look.

I do like this top, but I ordered a size up for larger arms, and was to big. so I washed and dried it to shrink it some, still on the big side, I will know not to do that next time. other wise I love this for everyday wear.

Rated 3 out of 5 by BlueJewel Insufficient material on button plackets cause shirt to gape open
I was so surprised to find that the size S (which should have fit me perfectly according to the the Measurement Chart) gaped open between buttons 2 and 3 and buttons 3 and 4. The shirt fit perfectly in every other regard, so I did not want to try the Medium. Since I am average size or even slightly below in the area of the buttons, I think the ill-fit might be caused by "skimping" on the material on the button-hole placket. I compared the design against an older shirt in my closet which has a one-inch "under-leaf" of material on the button-hole side of the placket, and despite that shirt being 35 years old (and I'm 20 pounds heavier) I can wear it even now and there's no "gaping" at the buttons. I was very disappointed, because I really like the shirt otherwise, but it's unwearable as a buttoned up shirt for me, so I must return. (By the way, the "Perfect White Shirt" which I ordered at the same time in Small Size doesn't have the button gape problem, and does fit perfectly! (I noticed it's not made in the same country as the- Linen Big Shirt).

Rated 4 out of 5 by hugatree Lovely color and washes beautifully
The fit was just right - I am just beginning to buy linen as I love it, but I have been losing weight and I can finally feel comfortable in smaller sizes and investing more in great garments. However, I also love the 1X size - it is very flattering and will be versatile as I continue to get smaller. It washes like a dream - I was very concerned about shrinkage, but putting in the washer on a gentle cycle in cold water, and giving it a shorter, cooler drying setting, all my J. Jill linen is coming out soft and only a wee bit wrinkled - the kind of wrinkled that makes linen unique and still attractive. Nothing to be concerned about. My only wish is I would love either a side or front pocket. A different tunic from J. Jill has the side pockets and they are fabulous.

I got the cameo blue/white and absolutely love the color and fit. Since I can only wear 100% cotton shirts, this shirt is perfect.

Rated 4 out of 5 by kudzususan One in every color - almost perfect
Yes, I did buy this shirt in every color. Definitely a keeper. Lightweight enough for brutal NW Florida summers but not so sheer that I have to wear with a cami. Love the soft, sophisticated color palette for this one as the regular linen big shirt colors tend to be too loud for my taste. Docked one star because the gray pulls across the shoulders and gaps a bit at the bustline - it just doesn't fit quite like the blue and the lavender. This inconsistency within the same size is something I'd expect from lower quality retailer (I'm looking at you, OldN) but not from beloved J. Jill. I love these shirts so much, I don't mind having to add a safety pin to the button placket on the gray shirt.

The styling, fabric and construction of this shirt are great. I love the side gusset; very unique. It would hang better with a back yoke.
I washed this in cold water and dried on extra delicate. It came out of the dryer in a mass of wrinkles; especially the sleeves. I then proceeded to iron with a warm iron, according to instructions. The wrinkles were so stubborn, I had to use a hot iron with steam and spray. The result was still not "linen crisp".
I bought this shirt (on sale) as an overshirt for road trips so I'm not especially worried about the "crisp" part but I hate to iron and this shirt must be ironed in order to fit on a human frame, so, I will probably take it to the dry cleaners for laundering and ironing.
